Episode 1313: Get Out of Dodge
Jerking his gun around towards the cops Joe hunched down as he fired two shots over the police men's heads. Killing old Al was one thing Al had coming to him; anybody that murdered little kids deserved what he's got. But killing a cop, much less two, was something Joe was firmly against. No reason to get every cop in the state gunning for him. The shots rang out a pair of startling sounds in the beautiful night. And as the sound hung heavy in the air, Joe added another sound to the mix--the sound of the engine working hard as he slammed his foot on the gas.
The cops had instinctively ducked for cover at the sight of his gun coming around. They returned fire and bullets bounced off Joe's car as his car disappeared in the distance. Laughing excitedly, Joe reveled in the feeling of beating death once again.
