For years, Joe lived in happiness with Madilyn and their beautiful daughter, Merrie. But no one ever gets out of the mafia. Big Louis never let up looking for him. One day, as Joe is picking a big red apple for Merrie, a hoarse voice said, "Hi Joe, remember me?"

It's a familiar voice, a voice that Joe will never forget. He puts the perfect red apple down. It's a perfect one, one that's perfect for Merrie. It would be a pity to mar it. As he let go of the apple, a shot rings out. He barely hears it. But he knows he will never see Madilyn and Merrie ever again.
