Cyno's Dice
Some of my buddies and I were remembering the good old days. In those days, we'd play the Dungeon & Dragon role-playing game . . . on paper! We thought we might try playing again to remember good old times.
Time to dust off my dice rolling code. I ported the old OS/2 REXX code to the new, hip PHP code running on Apache. And give it a more friendly name of "Cyno's Dice"; it was called "Cyno DICE CGI" before. Give it a try . . . you might consider getting rid of your dice bag now that we are in the electronic age. ;-)

After porting Cyno's Dice to PHP, I thought of another great idea. Make it so that all your friends can see your dice roll. The biggest complaint I hear is that when you play RPG remotely, somebody has to roll the dice. But nobody else can see it. Now, with the "Cyno's Dice for Cirqo" I implemented, anyone can roll the dice and everyone can see it. The result is posted to the "Cyno s Dice" Cirqo chat room immediately. You don't have to wait hours to see the result. Give it a try. I'm sure it will come in handy.

Just recently, my friend show-cased how to use Liink, Cyno's Dice, and Cirqo collectively to run an old school RPG adventure online. The adventure's main character was a courageous rogue, named Zenny.
Read the "Rescuing Marty" adventure to join Zenny on his daring mission.

Title: Rescuing Marty
Weblog: Eversummer Days
Excerpt: I've created an online character sheet for Zenny with Liink and Cyno's Dice for Cirqo... Just to show what's possible, I ran another one of Zenny's famous exploits where he rescued his friend Marty from an incompetent guard! I went ahead and typed the stuff in since we weren't on Teamspeak or . . .
