Tossing and Turning
Tue, 27 Jan 2026 13:28:50 +0000
She turned her head to the side, hair spilling across the pillow like a dark halo. Her lips parted as her breathing softened into an eerie stillness, her body relaxing not because the pain had ceased, but because it had "finished its work".
Somewhere inside her chest, something new woke.
And Eleanor, unaware of the bite, unaware of the night's true hunger, lay trembling on her bed... no longer fully human.

Dayton, a Smart City
Wed, 31 Dec 2025 11:32:43 +0000
Dayton isn't a place you live in; it's a place that consumes you, one byte at a time. The suits up in the chrome-and-glass towers–the ones who own the air you breathe and the dreams you have–they love to call this place a "Smart City." It's "smart," alright. Smart enough to track your retina scan at every noodle stall, smart enough to predict your credit failure before you even lose your job, and smart enough to keep the neon lights of the holographic ads bright enough to hide the mold growing on the walls of our "efficient" micro-apartments.

As she reached the outer gate, Eleanor paused, running a hand through her hair. It was a perfect night, she knew that. The most incredible, intense experience of her life.
Yet, a tiny pinprick of confusion surfaced: her energy felt subtly drained, and the vivid, colorful glow she saw coming from the arched windows felt less like cheerful lamp-light and more like the faint, rosy illumination of blood against frosted glass.
She shivered, smiled again at the memory of Valerius's exquisite lips, and walked out into the cool, quiet night.

The Wake-Up Call
Wed, 10 Dec 2025 22:49:12 +0000
The Chrono-Key was just a persistent rumor in the deep net, a fantasy. He was still just Kaito, a small-time data-ghost in a his apartment, looking for his next honest (or semi-honest) gig in Dayton.
He took a slow sip of the bitter coffee, the taste of reality washing away the last lingering traces of code and paradox. The biggest threat to the world today was just finding enough credits to pay the rent.
